going from real life to internet

everybody says forget the internet try to do meet someone in real life.
i actually started to go to a lot of spiritual events from ecstatic dance to yoga classes. and what i find is actually that its much harder. its easy to get to know someone but its almost impossible to get it into romantic / sexual territory not even lets go out territory. so i am close to giving up on that completely and rather go fully in on the internet. but i think its also cultural. probably in the philippines i would be bombarded by suitors
